The colourful past of Chinatown comes alive within the walls of these three beautifully-restored shophouses on Pagoda Street, comfortably nestled in the midst of Singapore's bustling Chinatown district. Every nook and cranny in the Chinatown Heritage Centre pulsates with the memories of yesteryear, offering an experience like no other as one is transported to Chinatown in the budding years of Singapore's establishment as a seaport.

Visitors to the Chinatown Heritage Museum can expect an immersive journey through the rich history and cultural heritage of Singapore’s Chinatown. The museum offers a captivating collection of exhibits that showcase the lives of early Chinese settlers, their struggles, and how they built their community.

There is a total of 3 main display zones in the Centre:
  • Zone 1: Shophouse Living (Level 1 & 2)
  • Zone 2: Arrival and Settling in (Level 3)
  • Zone 3: Migrants’ End & Heritage Brands (Level 2)
Explore recreated scenes of shophouses, traditional trades, and personal artifacts that paint a vivid picture of the past. Interactive displays and multimedia presentations enhance the experience, offering both educational and entertaining insights. Important Notes

  • Each ticket admits one person which will be checked at entry and is valid only on the date of the ticket.
  • Your ticket entitles you to entry to the Centre’s galleries. Please note that you may need to queue for entry.
  • Children under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
  • Children under the age of 3 enter for free.
  • Re-entry is not allowed.
  • Last entry will be at 6:00pm. Please note that we are unable to accommodate late arrivals.
  • Tickets sold are non-transferable, non-refundable and void if altered or duplicated.
